We ship living things, and occasionally a box has a bad trip. If your order arrives with a genuine shipping problem, contact Bin There Worm Farm within 24 hours of the carrier's recorded delivery time.
Before you decide they're dead: cold worms play dead really convincingly. Spread them out on the bedding at room temperature for a couple of hours before deciding.
To make a claim
- Send your order number.
- Send clear photos or video of the biological material as it looked when the package was opened.
- Send a clear photo of the shipping label.
- Tell us briefly what you found.
What we will do
If the claim qualifies, we will make it right. Depending on the situation, Bin There Worm Farm may replace the affected biological material, issue store credit, or refund the affected portion of the order. Bin There Worm Farm chooses the remedy.
The guarantee does not cover
- A package left outside for an extended period after confirmed delivery.
- An incorrect or incomplete address supplied by the customer.
- Problems caused by a customer-requested carrier hold, redirect, or delivery change.
- Damage that happens after delivery.
- Failure to follow the included care and setup instructions.
Weather and shipping
We may delay shipment when weather or transit conditions make live delivery unnecessarily risky. Live biological orders normally ship Monday or Tuesday to reduce weekend delays. A weather hold is not a cancellation.
Cocoons
Cocoon orders, including cocoon starter kits and cocoons by the cup, are covered for shipping damage and material that arrives in clearly abnormal condition. We do not promise that every individual cocoon will hatch. Hatching takes time, and visible activity may not appear right away.
One simple rule
If something looks wrong when the box arrives, take pictures before throwing anything away and contact us within 24 hours.
